It was nice to see so many of our BG-BASE users at the American Public Gardens Association (APGA) conference last month! The week
started with a BG-BASE workshop attended by over 20 participants. It was a great mix of people, representing sites that have used
the system for +25 years to those who are considering the use of BG-BASE for the first time. All attendees were given a 60-day trial
version of BG-BASE version 7.x (exact number to be determined!), to be released this fall. We also show-cased our latest project - BG-Capture - which is an iOS (iPad)
and Android application created to facilitate data collection and inventories in the field. Get ready to throw away those clip boards!
Much more will be posted on BG-Capture within the next few weeks. Perhaps most importantly, the workshop gave attendees a
chance to meet and interact with one another and to share experiences in regards to collection documentation as a whole.
Later in the week we migrated to the exhibit hall, where we again distributed trial copies of BG-BASE along with our coveted,
30-year BG-BASE anniversary Frisbees! Thank you to all of you who made the time to stop by to chat with us and to learn about the
new and exciting things we are working on. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year in Miami!
